The Summit Free Market Committee is a student-run initiative that includes young
men and women from both private and public schools in Summit. The Summit Free Market features both an online program, which allows citizens to post unwanted goods and search for desired items, as well as a physical location at the City of Summit Transfer Station that hosts seasonal events where residents are able to bring reusable items to share, and take whatever they may want or need. The Summit Free Market enables residents of Summit to do their part in helping the planet in whichever way is most convenient for them!
The Summit Free Market project has been funded in part by the Sustainable Communities’ Implementation Grant Program from The Municipal Land Use Center at the College of New Jersey (MLUC/TCNJ), with generous support from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
